A musician helps a young singer find fame as age and alcoholism send his own career into a downward spiral.
Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga fuse their considerable talents to depict the raw and passionate tale of Jack and Ally, two artistic souls coming together, on stage and in life. Theirs is a complex journey through the beauty and the heartbreak of a relationship struggling to survive. In this new take on the iconic love story, four-time Oscar nominee Cooper (“American Sniper,” “American Hustle,” “Silver Linings Playbook”), makes his directorial debut, and also stars alongside multiple award-winning, Oscar-nominated music superstar Gaga in her first leading role in a major motion picture. Cooper portrays seasoned musician Jackson Maine, who discovers and falls in love with struggling artist Ally. She has given up on her dream to become a successful singer, until she meets Jack, who immediately sees her natural talent.
CHASM Housing is a Queensland-based community organisation that advocates for affordable housing solutions in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland.
CHASM Housing, in partnership with the Maleny Neighbourhood Centre (MNC), develops projects and conducts research to help increase the supply of housing that is small, affordable, quality, accessible, age and environmentally-friendly to enable people to remain living in their neighbourhood of choice.
We have secured a lease with Maleny Co-operative on the land that backs onto Bi-centenary Lane. Here we will build our first affordable home “Little House in the Garden” and open it to the public for the first 3 months showcasing “what Maleny built”.
As an advocacy group, we will use all that we have learned to pass onto others that wish to be a part of the affordable housing solution. With the knowledge, we have gathered and the contacts we have made we will be able to help others “build in their back yard” to address affordable housing whether for family, friends or people of the community.
