Mistura
In 1965 Peru, Norma (Bárbara Mori), a French-born trophy wife embarks on a journey of culinary reinvention after she is betrayed by her wealthy husband, who leaves her penniless and ostracised from elite society. With increasing debt she must face a future vastly different from the privileged life she has known. This sets Norma on a path to realising her dream of opening a restaurant highlighting the delights of Peruvian food.
Support comes from an unexpected source in the form of Oscar, her loyal chauffeur (Peruvian musician Cesar Ballumbrosio). This film of transformation uses food as the conduit to break down the class barriers and gives Norma insights into a world she once looked down on. This is a food for the soul drama directed by Ricardo de Montreuil
