The Musicians
Astrid, a wealthy heiress, purchases four extremely valuable Stradivarius instruments to fulfil her late father’s wish for a premiere performance of his favourite composer’s recent work. She recruits four musicians to play the instruments but surprisingly, for a quartet to work well together it requires more than just throwing together four talented soloists with big egos. All does not go smoothly, and the composer himself is reluctantly brought in to help. As classically trained musicians themselves, the actors Mathieu Spinosi, Daniel Garlitsky, Emma Ravier, and Marie Vialle bring the required authenticity to the screen. Set amidst the villas, vineyards and chapels of the stunning Champagne region, this film has an exquisite original score by Grégoire Hetzel. Director Gregory Magne has created an audience favourite to delight all our senses.
